The attached video shows the rental wheelchair that was sent to my mother last week. You can see that the brakes are applied, and yet the wheels roll with no resistance. That's how old and worn the tires are on this device that we rented, to keep her safe. It was delivered one week ago, a requirement for her to be released from hospital to a care facility. Realizing there was a problem with the brakes, I called the store the same day and was told that because they were closing for their annual inventory, they could not replace it for five or six days. The professionals at the care facility showed me how dangerous the chair was, and how unsafe and thus unusable it was for my mother. She was looking at being unnecessarily bed-bound, for almost a week, in a new and unfamiliar environment whose daily routine requires mobility. Because the store was unable to replace the defective chair for so many days, we were forced to seek an alternative. We were lucky enough to find a safe wheelchair to borrow that we can use until she is provided one by RAMQ in several months. So I asked the store to simply pick up the defective chair and not to bring a replacement. They told me they'd be keeping the rental fee anyway. They also neglected to tell their driver not to bring a replacement, though I sent my request three days before he was dispatched. The lousy equipment is one thing. The delay is another - it is the reason we had to look for an alternative. The worst part though is how they could not care less about the impact of their product and service. They are refusing to refund the month's rental fee, claiming they are holding us to a contract that they themselves did not fulfil. They are keeping a month's rent for the five days that they left us with an unsafe chair. Reading the other reviews, though, I wonder if any chair we got from them would have been any different. I see many complaints about the age and quality of the equipment. I am happy to be able to provide a video example of what they will gladly take your money to rent. They did tell me at the time of rental that there were no refunds. They also told me, however, that they would deliver a working piece of equipment. The video proves otherwise. Avoid at all costs.

When I attended the Montreal store at noon, and despite checking the hours on Google, and seeing the hours posted on the glass at the shop, I was rudely told by a copper hair coloured woman that they were closed. People do not come in to browse. You are a destination store. There was no concern given for my being at the store. It's sad to be one of the people to validate the others claiming poor service from such a business however my experience shows a pattern of rudeness and lack of concern for the customer.

This is one place that my money will not be going to. I called to see if they had folding Walker & pricing info . I ask my questions in ENGLISH & got all french answers, he didn’t even care to respond in ENGLISH. They said that in Quebec it’s the French language & that’s all . NO WONDER THEY ONLY HAVE 2 STARS WHAT A SURPRISE. In this case I’ll bring the ENGLISH MONEY & support AMERICAN companies on line which are way cheaper than this people.
