  I was in here today and the service was rude and useless from start to finish, I literally heard the front counter woman ask two guys to help me and they both refused and so she said she'd send someone and no one ever came. We went to ask again and finally someone came, he told me the website didn't have the stock they said they had, then he walked off leaving me to carry the one I found, then he circled back, found me a cart and when I asked if he could check other stores to see if they had stock he said they definitely didn't. So imagine my surprise when I left this dirty, dingy location, checked their website directly and found another Rona that had twice the amount in stock without any issues whatsoever. There is literally no excuse for a company to treat customers that way, it's left a terrible impression on me.

  Decent selection of plumbing fittings for non-specialty, general construction supply retailer. Unlike other customers whom might perhaps complain about the lack of employee engagement, I very much appreciate it. While I have been surprised by the occasional Home Depot isle jockey demonstrating a flash of competence in the their department trade; I feel this is an even less frequent occurrence at Rona. In any case, shopping at Rona today I was able to stand in absolute shock regarding the price of plumbing solder, without being bothered by some clueless sales associate whose knowledge of soldering is that it's 'tricky.'

  Beware - do not order installation, find a trusted contractor! I purchased a water heater from this store in Sep 2024, and paid extra $553 for professional installation, expecting the job to be done properly and to code. Just one year later, I noticed heavy residue and corrosion forming at the water pipe connection to the heater. Concerned, I asked another licensed plumber for a second opinion. He informed me that the original installer failed to properly protect the metals from reacting with each other and should have used a protective pad to prevent corrosion. According to him, this issue will likely lead to a leak within the next couple of years. When I contacted the store, I was told their installation warranty is only one year — very convenient timing, given that the problem became noticeable just after that period. I also asked who performed the installation and was told it was “Quick Plumbing.” It took some effort to find them online, and when I did, I discovered they had 1-star reviews and are now out of business. It’s extremely disappointing that a store would subcontract installations to a company with such a poor reputation, especially for something as important as a water heater. I paid extra for installation specifically to avoid problems like this. I would strongly recommend asking detailed questions about who will actually perform the installation and researching alternative options before purchasing.
