Asked the cashier clerk in the pharmacy for help locating an item and couldn’t believe how rude she was. It was as if it was beneath her to help a customer. Had a similar experience with this same clerk before. I will say the pharmacists are wonderful but the clerk needs to go.

Very disappointed with my experience at this Shoppers Drug Mart. On December 12, I bought an Olay face cream from this location and sent it to my sister. After using it, she developed a bad facial rash, and we later discovered the product was expired. I went to the store to inform the manager, not to ask for a refund. I clearly told him I was not bringing the product back and not seeking money, only expressing concern because I shop at this branch regularly and trust the store to ensure skincare products are not expired. The manager’s response was extremely frustrating. He said it is the customer’s responsibility to check expiry dates, that they have “millions of products” and cannot check everything, and his tone was rude and almost shouting. There was no apology or empathy. Selling expired skincare products and responding this way to a concerned customer is unacceptable.

Today was New Year’s Eve. According to Google, this Shoppers Drug Mart was scheduled to close at 6:00 PM. I arrived at 5:57 PM, but the doors were already locked. I tried calling the store, but no one answered. While waiting outside, I mistakenly assumed a customer exiting the store was an employee and asked if I could quickly buy one essential item—a pack of diapers. She kindly allowed me to check inside. Once I entered, a male employee approached me in an aggressive and confrontational manner and immediately directed me to leave without listening to my explanation. I calmly told him I was not there to argue and only needed one item, but he refused to listen and continued to be rude and dismissive. I understand store policies and respect closing times. However, being locked out before the posted closing time and then treated with such hostility was extremely frustrating. I had worked a long shift the day before, overslept by mistake, and urgently needed diapers for my nephew, as I am flying tomorrow and he is moving to Halifax. I admit that toward the end of the interaction, I also raised my voice due to frustration. That said, the situation could have been handled with far more professionalism and basic courtesy from the start. I have over five years of customer service experience, and I strongly believe this interaction did not meet acceptable customer service standards.
