My daughter had a sore throat because of her auto immune disorder I wanted her checked. The pharmacist told her that because she had her tonsils out she could not get strep. That is not true. My daughter had her tonsils out in grade 3 and was Dx with step at 11. That resulted in arthritis .Misinformation and I am a nurse if she gets a flare from this they will be reported . The pharmacist was rude I as upset and I had a right to be .

I went in to the pharmacy looking for a single dose antibiotic for Lyme disease, I had found a deer tick on me in the morning. I am a land surveyor and encounter ticks on a daily basis and know that a deer tick needs to be latched on for 36 hours in order to give someone Lyme disease. I arrived at 9:32, online it said the pharmacy opens at 9:30. I told the pharmacist my situation and she told me that deer ticks do not carry Lyme disease which is untrue. I would expect someone who is living in a province with a Lyme disease epidemic to know the facts about the issue. She then said that it needed to be latched for 36 hours which the tick had the potential to have done. She followed by saying that they just opened and they usually only take appointments regarding these issues. I just drove down the street to shoppers who quickly took my information and provided me with the single dose antibiotic within 30 minutes. Unprofessional, rude and uninformed
