Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is a core part of how we build Senior Care Path. Many of the people we serve are older adults or family caregivers, so a site that is easy to read, easy to move through, and works with assistive technology is not an extra for us. It is the point.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These are the widely accepted standard for making web content usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, or screen magnification.

What we commit to on every page

We have built these commitments into the design of the whole site:

  • A minimum body font size of 16px, so text is comfortable to read.
  • Generous 1.8 line-height, which makes it easier to follow from one line to the next.
  • Tap and click targets of at least 44px, so buttons and links are easy to hit on any device.
  • A skip-to-content link, so keyboard users can jump straight past the menu to the main content.
  • Clear, visible focus rings (a 3px coral highlight) that show where you are as you move through the page with a keyboard.
  • Semantic HTML and ARIA labels, so screen readers can describe the page and its controls accurately.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, so nothing important is lost if an image cannot be seen.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never finished. We review our pages on an ongoing basis, test as we add new features, and fix issues as we find them. As the standards and our site both evolve, we keep working to meet and improve on them.

Tell us about a problem

If something on our site is hard to use, we want to hear about it. Your feedback helps us fix real problems and make the site better for everyone. Please reach out and let us know the page you were on and what you ran into.
