  If I could give negative stars, I would. After reading the mostly positive reviews, I contacted Fawcett Mattress in November 2025 with several questions about their mattresses. I ultimately purchased a firm Sombrio mattress, which took the full 8 weeks to arrive in early January 2026. The communication from this company has been extremely poor. Once payment was made, I heard nothing until I reached out myself just before Christmas asking for an update on delivery timing. After receiving the mattress in January, I quickly realized it lacked proper lower back support and began experiencing significant back pain. I initially contacted them at the end of January but decided to give the mattress more time to adjust. By February 26, 2026, my pain had worsened enough that I requested a comfort exchange. As a side sleeper, I chose a firm mattress for support and planned to add a topper if needed. While it was too firm for my shoulders, it still failed to properly support my lower back. I completed their comfort exchange form and then heard absolutely nothing until I followed up again a full month later on March 26, 2026. I was told they had been “on time off” and were extremely busy. My response was simple: if you are continuing to take customers’ hard-earned money, communication should be a priority. Because I live on the mainland rather than Vancouver Island, I had to pay an additional $560 for the exchange. I specifically asked whether weekend delivery was possible since the mattress was too heavy for me to transport alone and I work weekdays. I was told, “I think they deliver on weekends.” However, I later received a text from the courier advising it would arrive on a Monday instead, forcing me to take a day off work and lose additional income. I exchanged for an extra firm mattress, but honestly it feels no different from the original firm mattress. I am still in severe pain and now have to place folded blankets and towels under the centre of the mattress, with a topper overtop, just to get enough support to sleep. To make matters worse, the comfort exchange fee was supposed to include delivery of the new mattress and pickup of the original one. The replacement mattress was delivered on April 13, 2026, but nobody took the original mattress. Weeks later, the old queen mattress is still lying on the floor of my condo bedroom because I have nowhere else to put it. When I contacted the company about this, I was told they needed to “wait for someone to be able to pick it up,” and later that a charity would supposedly be contacted to remove it. Since then, I have heard nothing. It is now May 9, 2026. After spending roughly $3,000 between the original mattress, the exchange, lost wages from taking time off work, and ongoing frustration, I’m left with two unusable mattresses and ongoing back pain. I will never purchase from this company again.

  Decided to spurge on a king size hybrid fawcett mattress for our baby and support local business, was super excited and waited a month. This is how it arrived We contacted customer service immediately and they insisted for us to open, keep and try it... But I don't want to sleep with my baby on a comprised pocket coiled hybrid latex mattress. From the look of the box, the middle of the mattress took a good beating. Disappointed and speechless... Really regret spending so much on this... Was looking forward to comfortable nights, now it is turning into a nightmare. Unfortunately, fedex rang the doorbell without the package and we signed for the delivery before we saw the damage so we couldn't refuse it.

  Highly recommend Fawcett mattresses to anyone researching a new mattress. We purchased a Model 2 approx 15 years ago and it is still going strong. We have loved it so much that we just purchased a 2nd one as circumstances are such that we now use two bedrooms (because one of us snores!). Duane and the Fawcett team know there stuff and have a true passion for manufacturing only the highest quality mattresses and helping people select the right mattress for their needs. Top notch mattresses and exceptional customer service for a price that, in my opinion, results in Fawcett leading the high-end mattress sector in value. Highly recommended. Thanks Duane and team!
