As a first-time investor with limited financial knowledge who wanted to get into investing through online robo-advising, I felt inclined to seek some financial advice before investing on my own. I was not looking for a financial advisor to manage my investing, but wanted unbiased advice which I was willing to pay for at an hourly rate (hopefully only needing 1-2 hours at most). Navi Consulting appealed to me since it is a small business, they advertise themselves as unbiased, and they offer fee-for-service advice. After writing to Navi Consulting explaining the details of my situation, Lynn Phillips gave me a phone call and provided me with over 20 minutes of financial advice over the phone, free of charge. The advice she gave me was enough to give the confidence to start investing, which is exactly what I needed. I think Lynn recognized from my message that the amount of advice I needed was not extensive, but the fact that she was willing to take the time to give me free advice says a lot about her character and that she prioritizes her client's interests. I will certainly go back to Navi Consulting in the future if I need more financial advising, thank you Lynn!
