I highly recommend Michael Olenik—five stars. He is a compassionate, insightful, and deeply attentive therapist who truly listens and engages in every session. Each time I leave his office, I walk out with a renewed sense of self-worth and clarity, which has been incredibly valuable on my personal journey. I knew I needed support, and Michael turned out to be exactly the kind of help he promised to be. I’m very grateful to have found him and for the guidance he’s provided.

I started working with Michael Olenik a little over a year ago, during a very difficult period in my life. Michael helped me process complicated relationship challenges at my own pace while encouraging me to prioritize my wellbeing and build a stronger sense of self. Over time we’ve worked through many different things together, including grief, relationship dynamics, work stress, and the normal ups and downs of life. Through all of it, he’s created a space where I feel comfortable being completely myself and talking openly about anything without fear of judgment. He’s thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely listens. I’ve always felt supported in both the hard moments and the good ones, and he has helped me grow in ways that have had a real impact on my life. I also really appreciate that he offers sliding-scale options for those who need it. Access to mental health care can be difficult with long waitlists and high costs, so it’s meaningful to see someone who clearly cares about making support more accessible to those who need it. I’m incredibly grateful for the work we’ve done together (and continue to do). Professionals like Michael make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of the community here in Nova Scotia, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a therapist who is compassionate, reliable, and deeply invested in his clients.

Being part of a modern society that is parched for connection, I remember searching for a therapist who would truly understand what I was going through. After days of searching, I found Michael Olenik, and I was not disappointed. The difference from my previous experiences lay in the care he demonstrates during our sessions: finding relevant solutions, reminding me that he’s still rooting for me—always. He takes me back to my childhood days, almost like a friend from that time who made me laugh, yet grounded me in the pillars I have worked toward all this time. In a society and province where we quite obviously face a mental health crisis, I can think of no one more needed than Michael.
