Senior Care Path Summary
Acorn Stairlifts has served Canadian seniors since 1992, helping people regain independence and remain in their homes. The company offers a one-hour free home survey with no obligation, followed by a personalized quote. They provide straight stairlifts for standard staircases, curved stairlifts for angled stairs, and outdoor stairlifts for deck or porch access. All Acorn stairlifts feature a unique hinged rail option designed to eliminate trip hazards at the base of the stairs. The units fold away when not in use, require no structural changes to the home, and operate at low cost. Installation can often be completed the next day, letting seniors quickly regain access to their full home. StairSafe, Acorn's monitoring system, allows seniors and their families peace of mind by tracking stairlift activity. The company offers servicing and aftercare support, plus information on funding options and tax credits available to Canadian seniors.

Terrible attitude and service from this company. Their prices are exorbitant and their service charges are through the roof. They don't stand behind their product and take pleasure in ripping seniors off. Veterans Affairs need to take note of this company!

Worst after purchase customer service ever! All sweet and nice and accommodating until item purchased...they actually charge $400.00 for a service call...just to come out and check what problem might be...yes 400...had I known this beforehand would have gone local. Also customer service manager rude as can be. You are dealing mainly with seniors and vulnerable people....shame on you Acorn. My doctor doesn't get paid that much! Stay away from this company.

Would never recommend this product to anyone! Acorn company is not interested in client satisfaction! We bought a stairlift for our mom after she had a stroke and shortly after, the descend armrest button would go up but not come down. I thought that it was a minor adjustment (since it went up) and waited to see if there would be anything else that would need repair because you're only allowed one free service call! A few weeks ago, I decided to call and get the repair done and the service man said that it needed an new PCB Board and that would cost over $800.00! I called the company to explain that it happened right away and that a good company would make an exception and cover the piece, but NO, they wouldn't budge! Obviously, they're NOT a good company! Extremely dissatisfied!
