CASL & anti-spam commitment
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) sets the rules for commercial email. Here is exactly how we follow them, in plain language.
The emails we send
We keep our email purposeful and expected. The messages we send are:
- Service messages to families you ask for, such as your assessment results, a saved comparison, or a reply from a provider you contacted.
- Account and listing messages to providers who claim or submit a listing, such as email verification, an approval notice with pricing, and new enquiry notifications.
- Occasional updates to providers about features or opportunities, which you can opt out of at any time without affecting your listing.
The consent we rely on
We only email where CASL allows it. Most of our messages go to people who gave us their address directly, by creating an account, requesting information, or contacting a provider through us. That is express or implied consent tied to a real relationship.
When we reach out to a care provider about claiming or correcting their own listing, it is a business-to-business message to the contact the business has made public, for a purpose directly relevant to that business. If that is not of interest, you can tell us to stop and we will.
How to unsubscribe
Every commercial email we send identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link. You can also email info@seniorcarepath.ca and ask to be removed. We honour every request promptly, and we never sell or rent your email address to anyone.
Note that if you unsubscribe from updates, we may still send the service and account messages you need, such as a lead notification for your listing or a reply to a request you made.
