S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi level Care Society on Moncton Street Richmond is a govt assisted adult day care where I took my 98 years mom twice a week so she enjoyed some socializing with people her age. It’s from 9 am to 3.15 pm, Monday to Friday. That gives the seniors enough time to enjoy a meal, do exercises, supervised walk, arts and crafts , afternoon tea, &watch TV etc. The staff there are super qualified, loving and caring , professional and safety conscious . My mom looked forward with excitement and anticipation each time she went. Also Handidart can be ordered to transport them if you can’t drive them yourself. The facility is spacious and bright and cheery. Thanks to govt funding (VCH) that my mom could enjoy all of the above for $10 a visit. Mom has just been admitted to Austin Harris residence but she still raved about the lovely team at the Day care who took care of her for the last 2 years and the friends she met there. Thank you! 👍🙏

My ex-neighbour, a 90 year old couple lived in Austin Harris Residence for years until they passed away last year. I made visits to them frequently before and they told me the Residence was a very ideal one for them. Staff are very caring and friendly, food is tasteful and nourishing, and the surrounding environment is nice and quiet. As my wife got a stroke in February 2024, she might need to apply to live in an assisted living nursing home, sooner and later. My wife is recovering very slowly and I am a 78+ old man, I am afraid I cannot manage to take care of her. As she revealed that AHR is her first choice, I promised her I would never leave her alone. With the help of the Case manager, the family doctor and Vancouver Coastal Health, we hope that two three years later, we can spend the rest of our lives in AHR. We do hope that our expectation will come true within two or three years.
