I have not used this facility, but I have friends and family that have. Each person's journey is their road to walk. Most of my friends and family that have gone here have not relapsed, thank goodness. I can only say that it worked for most of them. They speak very highly of the Smith Clinic.

My daughter has been struggling with addiction for over 10 years. She agreed to get treatment and our Councillor arranged this program for her and discouraged us from sending her out of town. Prior to treatment we attended many hours of Councilling sessions to prepare for her month in treatment. We explained to the workers/Councillor's at the smith about our daughter being difficult to deal with and they assured us this program was best for her and their Councillor's are trained to deal with all issues (example anger/mood/anxiety/socialization/respect stress anxiety etc). Before being able to enter the program she had to spend 7 days at the Balmoral Detox center which she did and this went well. She entered the Smith on a Monday and by Friday morning her Councillor met with her and told her their treatment program wasn't the right fit for her?? She felt obligated to leave treatment that day after preparing herself for over a month to complete the program. What a complete waste of time for her and all of our family when we were assured everything would work out. I would NOT recommend sending anyone to this center it did nothing but stress our daughter out even more as well as our whole family. An out of town program in our experience would be one hundred percent better for you or you loved one!! Very disappointed. unfortunately our daughter passed away of an overdose we truly believe the system failed her and our family

I find it ended too fast. When I was just opening up when I was a teen. Wish it was a longer program.
