We were so fortunate to have Sonya as a caregiver for my Dad through Home Instead. She was with him when he passed away suddenly, and her care, compassion and support during that difficult time meant so much to our family. After Dad passed, Sonya continued caring for our Mom, who passed away six months later. She took such wonderful care of both of them, and they truly loved her. Sonya became much more than a caregiver…she became like family to us. When we were searching for help for Dad, Sonya was the angel we needed. Her kindness, dedication and genuine compassion made an incredibly difficult time easier for all of us. We still keep in touch, which says so much about the kind of person she is. After my mother fell and fractured her humerus, we were facing a challenging and uncertain time. The care/support workers were consistently compassionate, attentive and dependable, ensuring that my 84-year old mom was safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout the night. My experience with Home Instead has been very positive. I was hired in a casual position. During the first 1–2 months, my hours fluctuated but I would always accept shifts because it's important to take work when it's assigned. My clients appreciated my dedication, and the company recognized my potential. The company supported me throughout the immigration process. It was a time-consuming process for the company and for me, because of the process required by immigration. Everything was handled by Home Instead step by step, and I eventually received my endorsement.
