I haven’t actually made a purchase at Kern Hill yet, but I had to jump on here and leave a review because of a young man named Joey. I’m a regular over at the Pony Corral on the weekends, and I’ve seen him there quite a bit lately when his violinist friend Allan Palmer has been playing. It’s rare these days to see someone so young who is that dedicated to their job. He’s always wearing his company jacket over his dress clothes, chatting with everyone, and honestly just working hard to represent the business. He’s gone out of his way to buy a round of drinks for people and hand out cards, but more than that, he just seems like a genuinely good guy who cares about earning people’s trust before even asking for a sale. Seeing how much effort he puts in just to build connections in the community tells me everything I need to know about how he’d treat a customer in the store. When I’m ready for my next appliance or furniture upgrade, I’m definitely heading to Kern Hill to see him. Hard work like that deserves to be recognized!

How absolutely refreshing ... to work with a business that knows their product and have great customer service.... We were in search of new living room furniture, we wanted a specific colour NOT grey... We tried to get product information from a "box" national furniture business and gave up. We seriously took a flyer on a "local" business and could not be happier we did. We had such a positive experience with all the staff at Kern Hill. Right from our very first contact through to delivery our experience was wonderful. We do not reside in the city so knowing that we could see and sit on the items we were looking at on line was very important. Preston brought in a sample of the fabric we were interested in, and had a sample of the furniture available to try out. As mentioned by others, absolutely ZERO pressure to buy... The living room furniture was delivered by great movers, weeks ahead of schedule and is perfect. There is a reason this company has been proudly serving Manitobans for all these years. If you want quality furniture and amazing service do not hesitate to choose Kern Hill.

SHOP LOCAL!!!! I recently visited Kern Hill to look for some new furniture for my home and had an incredible experience. Shopping for furniture and appliances can usually be pretty stressful, but Joey made it the complete opposite. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a genuine smile but didn't follow me around or pressure me into anything. He simply explained the layout of the showroom so I knew where everything was and then actually gave me space to explore on my own for a bit. It was so refreshing to have that sense of calm and not feel like I was being chased for a sale, like you typically see at big box stores. After a few minutes, he checked back in to see if I had questions. He was extremely informative and treated me like a human being, not just a commission. He really took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my choices rather than trying to get me to pull out my wallet right away. If you want a relaxed, professional, and honest shopping experience, definitely go see Joey!!!
