I'd like to share an experience I had today that left me extremely disappointed. I've been shopping at the Home Hardware on Hamilton Road for years and have always appreciated the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and helpful staff. Unfortunately, today's experience changed my opinion completely. When I attempted to use my Scene+ rewards account, I was told I couldn't because I didn't have the physical card with me, even though I had the application and account information available. Instead of trying to help resolve the situation, I was made to feel as though I was attempting to scam the store. I found that both insulting and unnecessary. Long-time customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when they're simply trying to use a legitimate rewards program. As a result, I won't be doing business there again. I hope this feedback encourages management to review how customers are treated in situations like this because making loyal customers feel dishonest is not the way to build long-term relationships. I hope they take this seriously and make improvements moving forward.

Don't bother with this location! The staff here are RUDE! And they HATE IT when a customer actually stands up to them and calls them out on their shit. My partner bought a saw blade for a Stanley hack saw last summer....the salesman showed us the blades and said "they're all universal and will fit any hack saw." We bought the Benchmark branded one. Went to change the blade last night as it was finally worn enough, and had trouble with it, so took the 2 blades and the saw into the store. We explained the issue, and the store owner actually said the saw handle was broken! I told him it was NOT, and that no parts fell off it while taking the blade off. When he was putting the new blade on, he conveniently said "we have new handles on sale for $10" and he also claimed I was argumentative. To which I replied that nobody likes being mislead and being sold a incorrect product for their needs! So it's pretty obvious what his motives were :P Also, back in 2024, my partner bought a Dirt Devil vacuum from this store, we used it once and didn't like it. When we brought the clean vacuum back to the store in it's original box and packaging, the manager tried to claim it was non returnable and head office wouldn't approve and give them a hard time! We had to wait WEEKS to receive the refund for the vacuum! AND they had quite the attitude. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Go to the Home Hardware on Dundas St, much nicer staff and bigger store.

Low cost to cut the extra keys I needed. Old fashioned style hardware store stocked to the ceiling. Lots of employees to answer questions. Good parking
