I believe hearing the statement floating around the centre, to drown out negative reviews with positives and I think it's truly immoral to have reviewers with no tie to the actual centre other than being friends or family mislead parents when looking for a provider. We are talking about vulnerable children and desperate parents looking to someone who they should be able to trust. This review, firstly is a message to the owners to take a step back and think about why they opened Connecting Dots and what their initial vision was and how it is currently flawed. More importantly, as a parent, I believe we are obligated to be honest and look out for one another and our children as though they are our own. I will always respect a parents point of view or opinion when it comes to the autism community, so this is mainly to inform parents of my experience. At first glance, both Lina & Sarah presented as the perfect providers for our child. They were knowledgable, empathetic and gave a true sense of community. They were amazing therapists and I knew my child had to be in their care. Unfortunately, as the months went on, it was less so. They no longer embody the mindset of a therapist, quite frankly they rarely do any therapy these days. Misleading promises, unanswered questions, non-existent 'open door' policy, questionable practises and a lack of team approach. They quickly transformed from "promising therapists" to ill equipped "owners", proven by the unending turn over rate of staff and remaining staff's downcast demeanor. Although the staff at CDBS are for the most part wonderful people, they do not all instill confidence in me that they have been adequately equipped with the necessary tools to deal with the challenges our children present. With proper ongoing and sufficient supervision, I'm sure they would thrive, but that too has presented itself as a concern for me. Sadly, I can now attest to the previous review from a former staff, that supervisory obligations are not being suitably met. That being said, I worry that my child is not getting the best quality or alternatively the most benefit out of his ABA sessions. I understand fully, that this is a business like any other, but as a parent I don't see $ signs, it's very personal. As business owners and bosses, you're staff and your clients are your $ signs, without them, you are not "connected" to anyone. The obvious lack of transparency with regards to communication, billing, programming, supervision etc and 'misinformation' is very worrisome and creates distrust. Dishonest feedback or recollection of situations makes it very difficult to entrust your child with anyone, let alone behind closed doors. Hearing that families are being deliberately overcharged or misled by the amount of therapy their child is receiving is unacceptable. To take advantage and steal from the very people who put food on your table is shameful in the least. I don't write this happily or with contempt, I truly expected our family to be a part of the CD team for the long haul and am saddened that I have lost confidence in their ability to do right by my child. Parents, I'll end off with this, when therapists (staff) appear and have proven to be fearful of their leaders backlash leads to poor judgement calls and blatant disregard for doing the right thing, it's time to ask whether they are capable of always doing what's in the best interest of your child? I for one am not willing to take that chance. My hope for Lina and Sarah is that they take another look at their chosen name and question themselves, who exactly are you connected to?

Amazing staff! All staff members take the time to explain exactly what the clients need. They make you feel like family and not just a number. Connecting Dots is definitely on their way to being the face of behavioural therapy.

Connecting Dots have been so incredible since day one. They are so down to earth and extremely professional when explaining what is needed to benefit the children. When it comes to behavioural therapy, they know what they’re talking about and are very ethical. For them, it’s all about the kids and I couldn’t be happier to have found them through word of mouth and the incredible reviews I’ve heard. Two big thumbs up to management for running such a beneficial service!
