    This is a warning to other business owners about our experience with Billyard Insurance Group (Brampton). We switched to them in March 2025 for commercial auto insurance after our previous insurer exited the market. At first, everything seemed fine — the broker (Augustine) was responsive and helpful. That quickly changed once we started asking questions and making legitimate policy updates. By April 2025, our situation had already changed: - One truck was returned to the lessor - Two trucks were taken off the road and placed on fire/theft only We provided all documentation immediately, including bills of sale and proof of status changes. Despite this, Billyard continued charging us full Facility premiums — thousands of dollars per month — for vehicles we did not own or operate. From that point on, it became a constant cycle of delays, excuses, and misinformation: - December 2025: We were told our refund cheque had been issued. It was never received. - February 2026: We were told funds had been released and we would receive payment within 10 business days. Nothing arrived. - March 2026: After waiting nearly 30 days, we contacted the company responsible for issuing the cheque directly. They confirmed they had NEVER received any funds from Billyard. They even cc’d the broker requesting proof of payment — proof that was never provided. - April 1, 2026: We were told again that a cheque had been mailed. Two weeks later, we finally received a cheque for $1,700. They owed us over $10,500. This is money that was continuously withdrawn from our account while they had full knowledge that these vehicles were sold or inactive. Every step of the way, we acted promptly and provided full documentation. In return, we were met with delays, contradictions, and zero accountability. We escalated this matter with a full timeline, supporting documents, and email evidence to their managing partner and ombudsman. The response? Silence and no meaningful resolution. At this point, this is no longer just about poor service. It raises serious concerns about how client funds are handled and whether businesses are being charged for coverage that no longer applies — with no urgency to return what is owed. If you are a business owner in Ontario, be extremely cautious before working with this brokerage or giving them access to your bank account. We are now considering further steps, including increasing public awareness, because no business should have to fight this hard just to get their own money back.

    I received many rejections and unfair quotes from different companies, but in the end, I chose this one. It was extremely helpful, and their customer service is amazing. In particular, the associate named Anwar explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Even after all the procedures were completed, he continued to call me for follow-ups. Thank you so much.
