I actually did a lot of research looking for pain program around the city before asking my doctor to refer me. Although this pain program sat somewhere down middle in terms of reviews from patients, I still chose to sign up. Although COVID has been over for quite a while now, most of the courses offered on this program are online and mostly in group settings, and even though they say they offer one-on-one, good luck. There is one particular woman, a social worker, putting on a few of the courses and she is not a good person. She bold-faced lied about me, she lost control of the group multiple times and let so many other people talk while muting others. When I would ask her a direct question she would ignore me, I tried to become more involved with the group she would not let me speak to them. This started because of one of the very first classes that we had as a group, online, she acted like I levied some kind of grave transgression towards her when I was speaking about the AISH program because of how terrible it can be and how awful they treat people on it. It was after that moment and when people were asking me questions that she decided to treat me very differently. My AISH too, changed after. This staff rescheduled multiple times, especially a physiotherapist, she canceled three times and for somebody who is already disabled and needs to get somebody to drive them, this was completely inconvenient. When I actually did go in to see people, I didn't get the questions answered that I needed answered, it's almost like they had a rehearsed script. It was supposed to be a team of people all working together trying to help manage pain but it felt like none of them actually communicated together about me because no one ever seemed to know what's going on, I felt incredibly singled out, I felt bullied by that social worker. I am still considering legal action because I'm still very emotionally distraught over how I was treated. By the time someone who works there actually reads this, they're going to know exactly who I am because they know exactly what they did to me. I don't even have the amount of room on here to mention MANY of the things that they did that were so unprofessional and hurtful. There's no reason to keep the courses mostly online,(can't record, but I took NOTES)there is no reason to not find a way for the patients to have parking there, they say that it's because they don't own the parking lot and it's somebody else that they have to answer to which doesn't make sense in a hospital, there should be something for the people that have to go there and this should be in every hospital; some people don't have the money to pay for parking on top of everything else, especially when they are on disability. The yearly amount that supposedly is the poverty level according to the government, and disability doesn't even pay close to that. A pain program is Hands-On, I have been to one before and it was multifaceted, multidisciplinary with several different Specialists and it is not a course online where they mail you a book where you do all of the work. What they promise and what they actually do are two different things. Also, I thought that social workers are supposed to be caring, understanding and well-versed in the many personality types that live with chronic pain but apparently not. This program should be run by people who are experts in pain and not by people who think they know more just because they work for the medical community. Pain sufferers, especially chronic pain sufferers, are the experts and they should be heard. I even asked them to send me a questionnaire to fill out about how well they did as a program once I decided to leave it and I only got called from the director and there was very little, if any, closure or reconciliation. They wanted me to come in to confront me.It's like many doctors, they just don't want to deal with it or you and so they say what they think they have to say and shut it down and shut you down.

Had an ACTH test today and I was really nervous. The nurse I had doing the test was absolutely amazing. So kind and helpful. She did everything she could to help ease my anxiety. She was understanding and very personable as well. Her name was Brenda.

I would like to sincerely thank Alan for his professionalism and care. He is a great specialist and always takes time to explain everything clearly. Communication with him is excellent, and it makes patients feel comfortable and supported. I’m also grateful to the reception staff — everyone is very kind, friendly, and helpful. The whole experience at the clinic was positive. Parking is available nearby (paid), which is convenient as well. Thank you for the great care and support.
