I had Acorn Stairlift install the 130 version in Febr 2026 and everything seems to be ok. April 12, I called the 1 800 number and it connected me with some one in Brampton, Ontario. I needed a tech to look at the battery charger, here in Vancouver. There was no reply by anyone until the next week, just to tell me someone is coming out in 5 days. As of now, I doubt that my Stairlift will be repaired in that time. I was a fool to give them high marks for a good installation. I doubt that I made a good purchase.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - We recently have the battery replaced by Acorn Stairlifts Canada on April 28, 2025 and was charged $1065 for parts and labour. 4 months later on Sept 14, 2025 the chairlift stopped working again and goes completely dark with no feedback or error code. We gave Acorn Stairlifts a call on Sept 15, 2025 and they tried to troubleshoot over the phone but declare the battery is dead. The staff quoted us $800 for another new battery and labour. This is unacceptable. Acorn Stairlifts Canada is such a scammy company.

If you live in BC. I just wouldn't. The service support all comes out of Ontario, the agents don't know where they service and where they don't, If you are slightly out of there zones they wont dispatch a technician even if you offer to pay for the travel time. They have absolutely no problem leaving you with a lift that does not work even after they sold it to you. They are all sales sales sales and very inflexible when it comes to servicing. you can find a better option if you are in BC.
