Great location, nice upgrades to rooms. Food is mediocre at best and hot meals often served cold by the time they are all dished out. I feel badly for the residents at Canterbury eating what’s served. I realize budgets are affecting quality. Communication with registered staff also an issue and really needs improvement on many levels. There doesn’t appear to be any “Best Practices” for staff in place with many of the facilities processes. There is a lack of accountability at times. The support staff, cooks and PSWs could not be nicer.

For the time I have been at Canterbury Manor I have felt at home. The slogan "the promise of home" is fulfilled every day. Due to a serious fall, I needed to live on one floor and have the back up of 24-hour nursing availability. I cook for myself, enjoy the programming and facilities, and the lovely neighbourhood. The kitchen offers excellent meals I can share with friends and family. Staff members are kind and experienced and my neighbours have become friends. I would recommend Canterbury to anyone.

We were so incredibly satisfied with the care and respect our father was treated with during his time as a resident at Canterbury Court. Staff was attentive and supportive and went the extra mile in trying to offer resources specific to our father’s interests and needs. He felt so safe, comforted, and cared for and was treated with dignity and kindness by all. This residence, and the staff, are treasures and we will always be grateful.
