Now I can't speak on everyone who works here because we did deal with one person who was very helpful. But Robert Margettie is one of the most disrespectful, and unprofessional people we've ever dealt with who works there. In the beginning he wasn't bad, but he showed his true colors once he tried charging us for oil that didn't show up, wasn't authorized by us and definitely not a part of our lease. He left the file bill in the companies name and told us we owe them $350 and if we didn't pay it our lease would be terminated. As a previous superintendent I knew better and contacted his boss to deal with the situation and cleared everything up. Robert then got upset, rude and unprofessional sending me texts and emails about me contacting his boss, as well as adding threats thinking it would scare me. He clearly didn't expect me to stand up for myself and save the evidence. He then expected us to wait a week and a half for someone to come fix the toilet that was leaking waste, and to inhaling that in like that's normal. We ended up contacting a plumber and paying for it ourselves. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there. Finally we moved and with that process he was still very unprofessional and said he did his job and made the handyman deal with us. I've heard a lot of unpleasant stories from others who rented from Gem Health after moving in and becoming tenants, but hearing and experiencing are two different things. We are happy to be done with them, but we are thankful for the one person who actually helped us out. My advice, don't ever let this man try to get away with treating you unfair, stand up for yourself and always save texts or messages shared so you'll always have that proof.

I don't know about other Gem facilities but Melville gardens I've heard from word of mouth many bad reviews and also knew someone that had resided there and they hated it

This is the worst company in this province...corrupt, bullying tactics, absolutely abusive....
