Unionville became my grandmother’s home in 2023. Very quickly, the staff were like family to her. It was very obvious that there was genuine care for every single resident at the home. My grandfather and I are so thankful that my grandmother was surrounded by so much happiness and love in her final years. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing everyone was. Thank you Unionville, I will never forget you.

Union Villa became my mother’s home. Soon after arriving, she was befriended by fellow residents and made to feel welcome by staff. There was always a program to attend or an activity to participate in. These kept Mom engaged, happy and active for over 9 years. During the two-plus years of the pandemic, the staff worked diligently, followed mandated health and safety protocols, often taking on multiple shifts to ensure the residents were cared for as well as possible. There were challenges, but they persevered. Slowly, but surely and safely, as Public Health permitted, Union Villa brought back volunteers, social time, group activities and more. It was a joy to see the feeling of “home” returning for everyone, staff and residents alike. Even as my mother's health naturally declined with age, she was cared for with compassion. I cannot express enough gratitude for the medical care and attention, physical therapy, dietary attention, outstanding recreational engagement, and spiritual care she received at Union Villa.
