Can I live here too? We came as a group to meet some of the residents. The building is kept incredibly clean with a very considerate staff. Absolutely incredible.

An immediate family member was a resident in assisted living of Amica Swan Lake last fall, for palliative and end-of-life care. During her time there were several serious incidents which ultimately we feel lead to decreased quality of life in her final days. Despite the high cost of this facility in our experience it was entirely our responsibility to ensure that the care plan was updated regularly and followed. Amenities like the pool were regularly not available due to short-staffing. Staffing was a constant concern and unfamiliar agency staff were often the only staff available on weekends. Was told by management that regular (even daily) complaints were recommended to ensure appropriate level of care. Food on the assisted living floor was not the same quality as in the dining room and was often served cold. Overall we did not feel it was a well run facility or worth the high fees. It has been three months and we are still waiting for the balance owed to be refunded with no acknowledgement of the last two follow ups. If we had another family in the same situation we would definitely think twice before choosing this Amica location. ***UPDATE - After this review, we were finally provided with our refund***
