Went to Frederick St location today to have my ears checked for wax buildup. Arrived at 41:00 and waited a few minutes before Julia took me into an exam room. She asked some questions and looked in my ears and found no wax buildup whatsoever. No flushing needed, have a nice day.Took maybe a total of 10 min. When back out to front to book my hearing test . I knew going there that there would be a $75.00 charge for removing the wax but when there was no wax to remove and still get charged a $75.00 fee in my opinion was not right. To say the least I was not impressed.

This business will charge you $75 just to look in your ears to see if you have ear wax build up. I was shocked beyond belief when the guy I talked to on the phone told me this. He said that they need to book the room for half an hour so you're going to be charged $75 even if you don't have any wax in your ears that requires removal. That's the most ridiculous thing! An otoscope is used to look inside the ears and I'm sure this can be done somewhere in the clinic without having to book a room. If you want or need ear wax removal done folks just go to the Urgent Care Clinic on Fairway Rd. in Kitchener. I went there a few years ago and one of the nurses there got some very impacted ear wax out of my one ear that was really bad filled with all this wax. She was very confident she knew what she was doing no oil needed to soften the wax she got it out and the best part is it didn't cost anything. At the very least you can have your ears checked there for ear wax build up at no cost or just go to your family doctor. This is beyond ridiculous when businesses out there are charging this.
