  I highly recommend Ameer Makboul as a physiotherapist. I had been struggling with persistent back pain for quite some time, and it was affecting my daily life. From the very first appointment, Ameer took the time to understand my concerns and develop a treatment plan tailored to my needs. What I appreciated most was that I never felt rushed during any of my appointments. Ameer always took the time to listen, answer my questions, and ensure I understood the treatment process. His professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care made a big difference in my recovery.   Recommended by my family doctor, the Ottawa Physiotherapy & Sport Clinic (OPTSC) Manor Park did not disappoint. Francois Duquette (Frank) and his colleagues operate a very professional but relaxed facility. Frank is highly knowledgeable about the body, its injuries and ailments, and how to treat them. He is very strong but gentle with a re-assuring bedside manner. In an open studio facility, he knows all the clients on sight and has an eagle eye on everyone. He and his colleagues greet clients of all ages & conditions with full knowledge of their issues. Located near the north end of St. Laurent Blvd., it is easily accessible with lots of free parking. It is a clean, well-kept studio with a low-key but supportive, respectful atmosphere. So glad I went there. You are not just another number here. If you are at all nervous about this type of treatment, this is the place for you. My pain is gone. Thank you, Frank!

  I injured my back at the gym and waited about two months before finally seeing a physiotherapist, and by the time I walked into the clinic, I could barely walk or stand properly. Fast forward to now, I’m completely back to normal and even lifting the same weights as before! A big shoutout to Ameer, my physiotherapist, he was incredible throughout the entire process. He was patient, caring, and consistently supportive during my recovery. What I really appreciated was that he didn’t just treat the injury, he also helped me correct my form and incorporated weight training into our sessions as a preventative measure, so I can avoid future injuries. I also really liked the open clinic concept - physiotherapists collaborate and support each other, which creates a really strong team environment. You can tell everyone works closely together, and Ameer was always very involved and attentive. Frank also helped out at times, correcting my form and doing needling, which also helped speed up my recovery. Overall, the atmosphere was supportive, encouraging, and fun, which made a huge difference during recovery. 100/10 would recommend!!
