My 93 yr old dad took a cab to get his hearing aid fixed and they told him to book an appointment. $30 cab fare each way, and told to come back.

I had a disappointing experience at this hearing clinic. As a healthy 35-year-old woman, I simply wanted to ensure my hearing was fine. Unfortunately, this clinic charged me $75 for a brief 5-minute consultation and hearing test, while two other clinics I visited afterward offered more comprehensive tests at no charge. My husband and baby accompanied me, and although I was unsure about having them in the testing room, I agreed. The staff assured me it wouldn’t affect the results, but I found it distracting to hear my baby making noises during the test. After a quick assessment, I was asked about my family’s hearing history. I mentioned I was unaware of any issues. The clinician then diagnosed me with nerve damage and recommended hearing aids, attributing the damage to loud music or childbirth, without offering further explanations. I was shocked and left to wait while they contacted my insurance about the hearing aids, but I ultimately had to leave because my baby needed a nap. Concerned about the diagnosis, I sought a second opinion from another specialist, who took 30 minutes to conduct a thorough test, including examining my ears. They found no evidence of damage or any hearing issues. If you’re considering this clinic, I urge you to think twice. They didn’t perform a proper examination, allowed my family in the testing area, and hastily concluded I had nerve damage. The most frustrating part is paying $75 for a service that many other places provide for free.
