About

Downtown Vision (formerly Toronto Centre Eye Care) is an optometry clinic in downtown Toronto serving patients for over 20 years, offering comprehensive eye care including specialized senior eye care.

Senior Care Path Summary

Downtown Vision acquired Toronto Centre Eye Care's practice and patient records in June 2025, continuing the legacy of Dr. Faizal Mohamed and Dr. Jennifer Yoon who provided care for over two decades. The clinic is one of downtown Toronto's oldest optometry practices, with roots tracing back to the Victorian era through Potter Opticians, and has served the financial district since 1981.

The team includes optometrists Dr. Latalisa, Dr. Goldhar and Dr. Yuen, who are continuing care for transferred patients. The clinic offers a dedicated Senior's Eye Care service as part of its comprehensive eye examination and vision care offerings. Electronic health records have been integrated to ensure continuity of care.

Located conveniently near Osgoode Subway Station with paid parking available, the clinic provides accessible appointments through online booking or phone, with patient records securely maintained in their system.

I absolutely love this place! I had the pleasure of meeting Bronte and wow she’s honestly amazing! she is extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient, Bronte answered all of my questions and Maftuna was helpful as well. I had an excellent experience and I’ve recommended this clinic to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Mohamed (sp?) is amazing. This time I was seen by a different doctor (Dr. Yoon) who was also nice, but the receptionist definitely is not. She had quite an attitude, never mentioned that there would be a different practitioner, or that there was a significant price increased (not covered). I called a different day to ask a question…same receptionist…same rudeness. Will not be coming back sadly.

I have been a client of Toronto Centre Optometry for over a decade now, first, seeing Dr. Mohamed, and more recently, Dr. Yoon. Both of them are excellent clinicians, knowledgeable and personable. Bronte the receptionist is a delight to interact with. You will need to contact her to book an appointment. Of note, the south entrance to the mall at 180 Dundas is currently obscured due to construction, so you might want to use the north entrance at 123 Edward St. The Centre is on the first floor, equidistant between the two entrances.
