About

Kodak Lens Vision Centre operates multiple eye care clinics across the Greater Toronto Area offering comprehensive eye exams, prescription eyewear, and specialized low vision services including adaptive devices and rehabilitation planning for seniors with age-related vision loss.

Senior Care Path Summary

Kodak Lens Vision Centre serves seniors with low vision, a common challenge for older adults with conditions like age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. The clinic offers dedicated senior eye exams and specialized low vision evaluations with Dr. Hoda Hamed, who provides comprehensive assessment of functional vision and personalized rehabilitation strategies. The team demonstrates adaptive devices such as magnifiers, telescopes, high-powered reading lenses, and electronic visual aids designed to help seniors make the most of their remaining sight.

During a low vision evaluation, optometrists review each senior's visual goals and daily activity needs, perform specialized testing of functional vision and contrast sensitivity, and develop personalized solutions including improved lighting strategies and adaptive techniques. The clinic also offers prescription glasses with KODAK Lenses and provides 10% discounts for all seniors aged 65 and over, making quality vision care more accessible.

Located across seven convenient GTA locations including downtown Toronto, Ajax, Etobicoke, North York, Rexdale, Riverdale, and Scarborough, the clinic has over 40 years of experience and accepts OHIP coverage and most insurance plans. Seniors can book appointments online or by phone, with emergency eye care accommodated upon request.

KODAK are always prifessional, proficient, caring, and compassionate. Their pricing is exceptional - I compared them to half a dozen competitors aho were up to 4 times their price. In the rare exception that something goes wrong, they do not hesitate to make you whole. Oin one instance, the fault was mine. Another, my friend was af fault. They too, magd him whole. This is important for seniors who can all too often make mistakes. A chartered accountant by training, it is extremely rewarding to find that old fashioned ethics is still alive and well. Thank you.

Dr. Hamed goes far beyond anything I have ever experienced with an optometrist. She is so thorough in her examination, patient, kind, respectful and makes sure that her findings are sent to my ophthalmologist, Dr. Margolin at Toronto Eye Clinic. Because of Dr. Hamed's findings at our last examination, I got a request from Dr. Margolin's office that he would like to see me in April, instead of our scheduled August appointment. I feel certain that my eyesight is being handled by the best team possible. Dr. Hamed always assures me that her door is always open for me to return with any questions, however small. I have recommended her to a friend who has just sent me her 'all caps' gratitude for sending her to Dr. Hamed.

I had a wonderful experience at the Kodak Lens Store. The doctor was extremely professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The staff was welcoming and kind throughout my visit. A special shout-out to Earan, she was incredibly patient, compassionate, and attentive. She helped me select the perfect frames and carefully walked me through all the lens options without any pressure. Her kindness and clarity made the entire process easy and stress-free. Tate offered amazing customer care and helped fit me in on a very busy day. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this store.
