Senior Care Path Summary

Saskatoon Hearing & Audiology Clinic is run by Tara Collins, a clinical audiologist with a Master of Science in Audiology and eight years of experience providing hearing care to Saskatchewan residents of all ages. The clinic offers comprehensive audiological evaluations, hearing aid consultations, fitting, programming, and maintenance in a comfortable, accessible setting with state-of-the-art equipment.

The clinic recognises the importance of involving family and caregivers when helping clients improve their communication skills. Staff provide training and counselling to help clients adjust to and successfully use hearing aids, with science-based programming using real-ear verification to ensure proper amplification.

The clinic dispenses a variety of hearing aid models, power levels, and styles to address individual needs, including Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, and Widex brands. They also offer wireless hearing accessories, customised hearing protection, and provide counselling on communication strategies and self-advocacy, services particularly valuable for older adults managing age-related hearing loss and its impact on social connection and independence.

I've worn 2 hearing aids now for 27 years. Been to a lot of different offices over the years. My particular case is I think unique really, the loss in higher frequencies is extremely tricky to not amplify to much volume or the brain interprets it as distortion. So to adjust everything is not a walk in the park for Tara or me for that matter. But I can't say enough here about the level of commitment and professionalism at this clinic. Small town service atmosphere in a big city environment is what every business should keep ahold of as it grows or just stay small. Huge amount of appreciation goes out to Saskatoon Hearing an Audiology!!!

Tara has cared for our son for more than 10 years. We now have 4 family members that go to her. She goes above and beyond for each person she cares for. She is knowledgeable, professional and has a great understanding of hearing loss. I cannot recommend her enough! Tara is absolutely the BEST Audiologist there is!!
