Emergency Department
Emergency room care at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness out of two sites: Chatham Site and Wallaceburg Site. Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre - Comprehensive care for persons who have experienced a recent sexual assault and/or act of violence by an intimate partner with crisis support, health and forensic services. These services are provided at our Chatham Site Emergency Department, and our Wallaceburg Site when needed.

Chatham Kent District Stroke Centre
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Chatham Site, is one of five designated District Stroke Centres in Southwestern Ontario. As the designated District Stroke Centre for Chatham-Kent, CKHA’s Stroke team works collaboratively with many local organizations and disciplines to plan and implement strategies for improving stroke care for residents of Chatham-Kent. CKHA has been Accredited with Stroke Distinction through Accreditation Canada since 2022 reflecting the ongoing commitment to provide best practice stroke care. Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are trained in diverse areas such as neurology, orthopaedics, and cardiorespiratory assessment and treatment. Physiotherapy services are offered to both outpatients and inpatients. After assessing a patient's condition, the therapist implements selected intervention(s) to safely relieve pain, to achieve and maintain health and fitness, and to optimize functional independence and physical performance. Physiotherapists educate the patient about their condition as much as possible. All therapists have developed advanced clinical expertise in an area of interest by taking continuing education courses.

Inpatient Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation Unit
The Rehabilitation Unit is a 28-bed unit which includes private, semi-private and four-bed wards. The unit includes a dining room, and treatment areas for Physiotherapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Discharge Planning, and Speech-Language Pathology. Within the Rehabilitation Unit is a 4-bed acute stroke unit.

Oncology/Cancer Clinic
Aligned with the Erie St Clair Regional Cancer Program (ESC RCP) and the London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP). Provides timely and safe access to high quality cancer treatment (chemotherapy) for patients who are in Chatham-Kent area. An Oncologist at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or London Regional Cancer Program will assess patients initially for chemotherapy received at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
