I got a scooter from here 10 grand . It worked great for the first year 2 problems. Motion replaced batteries twice, they did not strap them in. The was a problem with the machines motor. Flashing gear, but they said it was normal. So I guess sitting here today looking at my expensive scooter not running 2 years after buying it is my imagination. Never buy from motion in peterbrough. Staff is nice but the tec people slack.

I am writing this review on behalf of my father, who has been a customer of Motion for nearly two decades. While the frontline staff and technicians are friendly and try their best, the company's changes in recent years, have become a serious safety hazard for disabled clients. A few years ago, my father purchased a new porch lift from them, and it has been nothing but trouble. It randomly stops working, and despite multiple on-site visits, technicians have been unable to diagnose or fix the underlying issue. Furthermore, no offer has ever been made to replace this clearly faulty equipment. Far more concerning is Motion’s policy of eliminating after-hours and emergency service. Because of this, my father has been stranded outside in the freezing cold several times when the lift failed after business hours. It happened again this past Friday. At 3:18 PM—well within standard business hours—the lift failed. When you call for service, you must leave a voicemail as this line isn’t manned by staff. We received a callback 30 minutes later (from a private number, which makes it incredibly difficult to track emergency communication) only to be told they had closed early at 3:30 PM for the holiday weekend. Fortunately, the weather was warmer this time, but because Motion has no emergency support, we had to call 911 for the fire department to get him safely inside his home. This is an entirely preventable waste of emergency resources. It’s unacceptable that a company specializing in mobility equipment for vulnerable people doesn’t keep a technician on call for emergencies. Leaving disabled clients stranded is a failure of care. If you or your loved ones rely on Motion for accessibility equipment, be aware that you will be entirely on your own if it fails outside of standard business hours. The executive team should be ashamed of these policies. They should change their slogans to “Motion Doesn’t Care” and “Not Your Partner”.

I don’t understand how this company is still in business or yet to be audited by the government. They currently hold the contract ACSD (CEP Program), hopefully soon to loose it so customers can have their equipment serviced and or purchase equipment from other vendors with options, HONESTY, and TRANSPARENCY -nothing like having the Government continuously calling you to question what happen to your equipment due to Motions repair prices being astronomical, to find out stuff is being billed for that was not done -I failed to mention they don’t like providing copy’s to the customer either as they just direct bill the government leaving the customer wondering what they are actually billing for (hence the calls from the government questioning it). I see previous reviews being positive but that sounds like customers coming in off the street who need to purchase a piece of equipment opposed to someone who is disabled and relies on ACSD and then it’s a free for all! I truly hope companies like Align who are amazing to deal with can take over this contract and motion can sink. At this point with the money they have profited from the disabled and government I’m sure they will stay afloat. Do better, the disabled community already pays the price having to live day to day with struggles, never mind your dirty profiting business off the disabled!
