About

Sabre Elevator installs residential elevators and lifts across Ontario, offering battery-powered and hydraulic models designed for accessibility and aging in place in multi-storey homes.

Senior Care Path Summary

Sabre Elevator is a Canadian-owned residential elevator installer serving the greater Toronto area and beyond, including Muskoka, Niagara, London, and Northern Ontario. The company specializes in helping homeowners age in place by installing home elevators that let seniors safely move between floors without stairs.

The team provides a full four-step process: initial home consultation to assess needs and space, custom design and engineering for finishes and specifications, certified professional installation with strict safety adherence, and ongoing maintenance plans to keep elevators running smoothly. Sabre highlights safety features including door interlocks, mechanical safety brakes, and in-cab telephone communication.

Models like the Aurora (battery-powered MRL technology that runs during power outages) and compact options like the Ascenda and Luma are marketed as retrofit-friendly for tight spaces, retrofitted homes, and townhouses. The company mentions that home elevators can qualify for Ontario Seniors' Home Safety Tax Credit, Home Accessibility Tax Credit, and potentially Medical Expense Tax Credit with a physician prescription, helping reduce out-of-pocket costs.

Sabre offers professional installation across all major Ontario regions with preventive maintenance service and rapid-response support. The company emphasizes personalized design integration with your home's architecture and notes that installations start from around $34,000.

I built a new home and wanted a small elevator and I have to say the team was absolutely fantastic to work with and my needs. I’m so happy and excited to have an elevator in my house. It works perfect and there’s a lot of safety features which is great. They thought of everything. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Mark

In an era where customer service often feels like a scripted transaction and advice is too frequently driven by commission, speaking with Mike at SABRE Elevators was a profound reminder of what true integrity looks like. A few weeks ago, I found myself caught between a rock and a hard place with an elevator issue. My current unit—not purchased from SABRE—was experiencing problems, and the original company was insisting I needed to purchase expensive interlocks. They refused to even come for a service call unless I agreed to buy the parts first. It felt like a forced hand, and the stress was mounting. In a moment of desperation, I reached out to SABRE Elevators and was connected with Mike. From the very first conversation, it was clear that Mike operates on a different frequency than most. He didn't see me as a "non-customer" or a lost cause. He saw a person with a problem he could help solve. Mike took the time to listen. He asked the right questions and confirmed a few technical details that shed light on the situation. That simple, honest conversation was the key that unlocked the truth. Armed with the information Mike provided, I was able to go back to my original service provider with confidence. Miraculously, they reversed their decision, agreed to come out, and—just as Mike had suspected—the interlocks were not needed. Mike didn't sell me a thing, but he gave me something far more valuable: peace of mind and thousands of dollars in savings. He also generously shared additional, forward-thinking advice regarding my UPS battery, proving that his care for the customer extends far beyond the immediate transaction. It is incredibly rare to find someone so well-versed in their craft, so efficient in their communication, and so fundamentally honest. We often talk about "going the extra mile," but Mike traveled it without any expectation of reward. His actions have built a bridge of immense trust. Though we have never met in person, the impression Mike left on me is lasting. If ever I am in the position to install a new elevator in my home, there will be no need to shop around. My business will go to SABRE, and it will go to Mike. It is a profound comfort to know that in a complex industry, there are still people like him who prioritize integrity above all else. Thank you, Mike. You are a testament to the fact that doing the right thing is not only the best policy—it is the most memorable one.
