I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at Berwick Royal Oak Retirement Home for their exceptional support and kindness during my parents' transition from Berwick to long-term care. Moving elderly parents can be a challenging and emotional process, but the staff at Berwick Royal Oak made it as smooth and comfortable as possible. From the very beginning, every member of the team was incredibly helpful and compassionate. They truly went above and beyond to assist our family, who had traveled from out of town, by providing invaluable local resources for moving, downsizing, and other logistical needs. Their willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed and made a significant difference in easing our burden during this time. A special thank you is also due for the wonderful meal offered to us in the pub on our last day. It was a kind and thoughtful gesture that provided a much-needed moment of relaxation and comfort for our family. The dedication and care demonstrated by the staff at Berwick Royal Oak Retirement Home are truly commendable. We are incredibly grateful for their support and for making a difficult transition much more manageable. Thank you for everything.

Berwick the Beautiful I equate our life at Berwick to being a step above living on a Cruise Ship and dry dock. It is the beautiful gardens that make the difference. The food, the staff, the management, all contribute to the comfort of our Life of Leisure. Try It You'll Love It Marnie and Graham Scholes

Nearly three years ago my family and I visited the Berwick to see what it was like. I had been checking out places to call my next home. We all agreed that Berwick was it ! During that visit , I found the staff very friendly and I was impressed with all the activities that were offered . I also liked that there was good variety of suites available . My move in 2021 was fairly smooth considering COVID 19. Even with downsizing . I have enough space in my suite for all my furniture and belongings. I am still getting use to having my suite cleaned and vacuumed, my bed made and some laundry done. Every week a bubbly, happy, smiling cleaning lady shows up! I am now truly retired ! There are three places for dining and even a Pub for glass of wine or a pint of beer. Also if you want to take food up to your suite, you can go to the Bistro . There are always several choices on the menu. The servers in the dining area are friendly, helpful and kind. They joke and laugh with the residents,,treating them like Grandparents or Aunts and Uncles. It is really lovely to see . I suppose if you are a nitpicker, probably could find something not the same as it use to be.. But I have seen the staff and residents working hard to keep everyone happy and safe. I am very happy that I made the choice to move to Berwick. It gets a 5 star rating from me. Thank you all who have made my move so enjoyable.
