  With modern technology how can CBI not efficiently schedule or record customer concerns. Asked many times for certain times for care and get different times that are not convenient. As much as I appreciate the Govt providing this service I think it should be run properly. Even the PSWs complain about scheduling messes daily. I am single and a caregiver as well as trying to work and take care of a home and need consistency or at least be informed when a PSW is not going to show up like today.

  Only a few PSWs have been satisfactory. Some have been incompetent. One has been excellent; her name is Rose. Also, I just got off an online chat with someone called Momtahina. I made a polite request regarding scheduling. She abruptly ended the chat, and when I reconnected, she again ended the chat abruptly without answering my question. June 24, 2026: This company’s policy, sanctioned by the current Ontario government, led by Doug Ford, is to give itself a 2 hour window within which to provide personal support to a client. In other words, if a client is “scheduled” for a personal support visit at 10am., the personal support worker can arrive to provide support anytime from 9 to 11am. PSW arrival times often change from day to day. A further aggravation is that CBI regularly phones to say that they, “are still looking for an available PSW to fill the shift.” This statement will often be followed by a question, such as, “What is the latest time that we can send a PSW to provide care?” In this case, a two hour window of care suddenly becomes a three or four hour window of care. Meanwhile, a frail senior could well be lying in a soiled diaper, waiting…. There is no consistency in personnel or in scheduling. This lack of consistency, coupled with the incompetency of many PSWs, is not only stressful and disruptive to vulnerable clients, it is potentially traumatizing and life-threatening.

  I resigned after two weeks because I found the work environment to be unprofessional and unsupportive. Management did not appear to give adequate attention to employee concerns. My supervisor, Jigisha, frequently communicated in a manner I found rude and unprofessional. On one occasion, she raised her voice regarding an issue that was not my fault and did not allow me an opportunity to explain my side. I also felt uncomfortable being questioned about taking sick leave, despite providing a doctor’s note. I was left with the impression that, as a new employee, I was not expected to take sick days. Overall, I did not feel respected or supported, which led me to decide to resign.
