They made dad feel welcome from the moment he walked in!! Asked if he had lunch and ordered one for him to take up to his new suite.They had a lovely welcome basket with lots of goodies inside in his Kitchen with 2 weeks of activities and a list of residents in the building . They even had a Welcome Bud sign at the front desk for all to welcome dad. A few of the staff came up to dads suite while we were moving him in and introduce themselves to dad and a lovely gal would come take him for lunch and supper for a few days till dad knew where he was going. Everyone is friendly and full of smiles!! Heck I can't wait to move here!!

My mom spent approximately 1.5 years at the Birchwood. It is a very welcoming and supportive retirement residence. The staff are fantastic, very caring and attentive. Mom said the food and menu options were always great. As my mom's care needs increased, all the staff, including the leadership team were attentive and responsive to her needs. It was a really great place and my mom enjoyed her time there. I highly recommend.

Mom took up residence at Chartwell Birchwood in 2018. We could not have found a more nurturing, safe community for Mom to call home. Right from the first day, the staff went out of their way to be welcoming and showed their commitment to caring for their residents. Now, in this especially lengthy, difficult time, they have gone above and beyond with their diligence in ensuring everyone is kept safe, is kept engaged and informed. The hits keep coming this year and the management and staff at Birchwood keep on meeting each challenge with a positive can-do attitude. We cannot give enough praise to this group for their continued dedication and compassionate care. To us, they are our heroes.
