Although, BRANT centre was on the top of the list for my mom at the time I think the place now needs a lot of help, there are very few full-time PSW staff employed, which means they are always dealing with temp services, which are not good, I find it’s confusing for the people in the long-term care because they never know who is going to be there to help them and the staffing shortages means that BRANT CENTRE is not looking after their staff so their staff can look after your family. I know when I go in there and my mom is laying really far down at the bottom of the bed that it’s somebody new from a staffing company that has put her into bed that doesn’t know where the head and the pillow are supposed to meet. Also, it’s pretty hard to get a hold of somebody. I tried for three days and even left a message and it’s literally impossible to call and get somebody to answer the phone on the floor. Your family member lives at.

My Mom, Elsie, lived at The Brant Center for almost a year. Rambo Creek was an amazing community to live in, full of friends, caring, wonderful people who knew Mom, her likes and her challenges. They were encouraging, positive, patient people, who became our friends too, with our visits they made us feel welcome as we were part of their family too. As Mom's memory started to leave her more and more, and activities and crafts became more difficult, they tried to keep her engaged by placing her where she could see the activities and feel part of it. She was able to see the comings and goings of others, and she could say hi and have interaction with those around her. They always had a smile, or a touch on the shoulder as they passed by her. I will forever be grateful for the care and love she received in her time there. All the staff ( nurses, PSW's, housekeeping, rec, physio, kitchen staff, hair dressers, foot care, and the Doctor, I think I have mentioned everyone.) and of course all Mom's resident friends. On the day Mom passed, the respect, privacy, care and concern Mom received was incredible, I can never thank all those who were involved that day enough. You made one of the hardest days of my life a blessing. I miss you and thank you all. Val & Family P.S. Respect.... Mom's picture the day she moved in welcoming her into her new community.... and the day after she passed, her picture on the front desk paying tribute to her. That's class. Thanks so much.

All I can do is praise The Brant Centre. Nothing but quality staff, volunteers, and care here! Both my Nanny and Grampy were residents here until they passed. My Nan was there for 5 years, and my Grampy just shy of 1 year. It was our goal to get them there to be together again but we missed it by about 2 weeks. Before my Grampy was a resident he was there often throughout the week visiting my Nan and the staff treated Him as one of their own without a second thought. Offering Him coffee, checking up on Him if they hadn’t seen Him for a few days, and even contacting us when they had concerns. My Nan was hesitant at first when she moved in, but once she was settled and got to know the staff and how things work- we would come to visit and could never find her because she would be off somewhere at an activity or in one of the common rooms. (Hilarious enough she won an award for most attended activities). My Grampy moved in just a few weeks before covid came and changed how we are able to live and interact. Staff did everything they could though to help with video chats, arrange safe outdoor visits, and keep us in the know of changing protocols for safe indoor visiting. Bonus was I work at the hospital next door and he had a window facing the parking lot so we got to wave to each other every single day and staff would even remember to make sure he was back to his room in time if he forgot. I will forever be thankful for the care and love they received in their time there. All the staff (admin, nurses, rec, physio, OT, kitchen, housekeeping, PSW, cafe volunteers, hair dressers, doctors, anyone else I missed) all complete hearts of GOLD!
