Our mother struggled with blindness, and eventually cancer, well into her 90’s. But she enjoyed a meaningful life right to the very end, and passed away peacefully in her own home with family at her side. The biggest factor in this success story (along with having devoted family members spending a lot of time with her) was the incredibly strong, positive support she received from Comfort Keepers. That began years ago, with a caregiver visiting once a week, taking Mom on outings and helping with all kinds of tasks, and building an absolutely beautiful relationship that inspired our whole family. Then, in Mom’s final months, as she became bedbound and needed round-the-clock care, Comfort Keepers really bent over backwards to build an impressive team of truly professional caregivers that never missed a shift and consistently proved up to the huge challenges of palliative care. They were there for our family to the very end, and even beyond: they showed up in force at the Celebration of Life we held for our Mom, and contributed some of the most beautiful and memorable tributes to her. I could go on and on, but I suggest instead that you Google me (there aren’t too many Eric Volstads!), and let’s chat. Few things are more important than the care of our aging parents, and I would be truly honoured to share more about our positive experience with Comfort Keepers, with anyone who asks.

Comfort Keepers are helping care for my elderly mother with dementia. The whole team is caring, compassionate and responsive. They have gone above and beyond in helping with my mother's care, sometimes on short notice. More importantly, my mother really enjoys the Comfort Keeper visits. It has made a world of difference to her and to me.

My first cleaner was remarkable. She left company than got new cleaner she was ok. But fill in were not good and on occasion left dirt on floor.
