If you are looking for care that allows a loved one to remain independent in their own home, I highly recommend them. Here is a breakdown of our experience: ### 📞 Initial Contact & Consultation The process started beautifully. We were able to do the initial consultation from the comfort of our own home via a Zoom call. **Jamesi**, the Director, and Cori who is the administration Guru, took the time to actively listen to the specific issues we were facing and the exact type of care we were seeking. It was clear they wanted to truly understand our needs before creating a plan. ### 📝 Intake Process The intake paperwork is a bit lengthy. If you don't have a computer or printer, downloading, printing, and uploading everything can be a bit challenging—especially for elderly clients. However, the agency is so accommodating that if you ask, I am confident they would work with you to mail the forms or assist in person. ### 💼 Communication, Billing & Value * **Tailored Communication:** **Cori**, the administrator, is incredibly efficient, organized, and prompt. If you find managing emails and billing stressful, she will work with you to find a communication solution that fits your comfort level. Once you get the hang of it, the billing process is completely seamless. * **The Cost vs. Value:** At $45/hour plus tax, the rate can feel high for the Trent Hills area. However, it is entirely on par with current rates, and you truly get what you pay for. The agency handles all the heavy lifting: thorough vetting, criminal record checks, insurance, EI, and even vehicle insurance if you utilize their errand services. The peace of mind is worth every penny. ### 🤝 Leadership & Support Staff * **The Management Team:** Jamesi is incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate from the very first meeting. Cori is an absolute pillar of support; her calm demeanor and excellent communication make problem-solving effortless. She always makes recommendations that serve the best interest of the client while upholding the agency's high standards. * **The PSW Staff:** We were matched with an exceptional PSW who fits perfectly with the client. They are calm, compassionate, and consistently go above and beyond the basic, standard PSW duties (while always staying safely within their professional scope). ### 🔄 Ongoing Care & Backups Their communication doesn't stop once services start. They consistently check in via phone and email to see if the care plan needs modifying. Furthermore, once a successful match is made between a client and a staff member, they proactively procure a backup worker. This ensures that if your primary caregiver is ill, there is already a familiar, vetted backup ready to step in without a disruption in care.

  My family has received excellent care from Compassionate Heart Home Care for both my mother-in-law and my father. All of the PSWs who have provided care have been wonderful, especially the regular ones for my father. He very much enjoys their visits. The administration is responsible, caring, and well organized, most recently helping me through a medical emergency when I had to arrange late night/early morning care with very short notice. I also have the impression that the employees are treated well, which is important to me. I highly recommend Compassionate Heart Home Care.

  I hired Compassionate Heart Home Care last year so my father who resides at Pine Meadows Nursing Home could attend District A3 Lions Club convention, and the level of care was above exceptional, I have hired them again this year ( 2026 ) for 40 hours of care around the clock, Jamesi and her staff have my complete faith that he will be good compassionate hands.
