There's a pattern of practice in Gibraltar (corner of Chemin Ste-Foy and Côte St-Sacrement) regarding independent contractors (electricians, plumbers, handymen, electronics technicians, etc.). Gibraltar officials protect "residents who don't pay" for independent services after residents call in their inquiries. Avoid these services if you haven't paid in advance. I agree with the last post. I lost money doing service in Gibraltar.

The care, maintenance, and kitchen staff are excellent: competent, efficient, and friendly. They know how to adapt to the realities of retirement homes. As soon as all the reception staff reach this level and are adapted to the realities of retirement homes, it will be a 5-star establishment. Having several years of experience in personnel management, I am fully aware of the difficulty in finding staff who meet certain quality criteria. Empathy and respect must be the most important selection criteria, especially for retirement homes. I hope this comment does not offend you, as its sole purpose is to offer suggestions for improvement. Don't our elderly residents and the families who care for them have a right to respect and empathy?
