August 1/2026 EMPLOYEES OF THE GORGE ROAD HOSPITAL (WATER VIEW UNIT ++) ROUTINELY USE THE IRMA STREET BACK ENTRANCE TO ACCESS THEIR PARKADE—A CLEARLY MARKED NO ACCESS ENTRY POINT. BY IGNORING POSTED SIGNAGE PURELY FOR THEIR OWN CONVENIENCE, STAFF CREATE UNNECESSARY HAZARDS FOR PEDESTRIANS AND LOCAL DRIVERS WHILE SHOWING COMPLETE CONTEMPT FOR THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. IT IS DEEPLY UNPROFESSIONAL FOR A PUBLICLY FUNDED HEALTHCARE INSTITUTION TO LET ITS STAFF TREAT A RESTRICTED, UNSAFE ENTRYWAY AS THEIR PERSONAL SHORTCUT. IF MANAGEMENT CANNOT ENFORCE BASIC POLICY AND PROPERTY RULES AMONG ITS OWN TEAM, IT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THEIR OVERALL STANDARDS. AVOID UNTIL THEY LEARN TO RESPECT THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

Gorge Road Health Centre provides an important service for the community, and it's easy to overlook how much work goes into caring for residents in a facility like this. During my visits, I found the staff to be friendly and professional. I also had the opportunity to speak with Stephanie, one of the social workers, and she was especially pleasant, upbeat, and easy to talk to. Positive interactions like that can make a real difference for residents and families navigating difficult situations. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out with built-in storage and amenities that help make the space more comfortable for residents. Working in healthcare and long-term care is often demanding and can be a thankless job at times, so it's worth recognizing the effort that staff put in every day to support the people who rely on these services. Overall, my experience was positive, and I'm grateful facilities like this exist for those who need them.

My friend was there for a year. She said food was horrible, this is fixable Also mice making nest in her Kleenex box. Really . This also can be rectified. Staff were relatively good except for some of the higher paid staff. Not at all acomadating , quite vindictive some times which isn't acceptable at all. Where are the accreditation people ???
