This space is peaceful, supportive and healing. The programs are thoughtful and inclusive. The staff go above and beyond to make your journey through cancer easier. I was welcomed although it was just after drop-in hours. The counselor listened to my concerns about my upcoming surgery and provided me with a kit to help me manage my post-surgery drainage. It had two bras of different styles, which had a pouch to hold the drainage bladders. The bra and pouch were very helpful in assuring my comfort both while awake and sleeping, and made emptying the drain bladders easy and clean. I recommend Hearth Place to anyone who is going through treatment for breast cancer. It is a place of compassion and reassurance.
