This organization is of the most worthless use of our tax dollars. The hospital referred us here and advised that they will provide at home care. Once in contact, Joan compelled us to take public transport to the nearest clinic with a broken leg. Her and her management is all about conserving resources as much as possible while doing the minimum possible to get paid. After arriving to the clinic, we find out they screwed up the paperwork and we had to wait for one more day to get my crucial meds. What is even the point of such a pointless entity that drains taxpayers dollars and gives those same taxpayers a hard time during stressful times.

Terrible place, terrible service, unacceptable at all levels. I was hospitalized with an infection that spread from my elbow up and down my arm, causing me to get a major fever, almost unable to open my eyes and walk. I was referred to “At Home Care” as the hospital was over capacity.. Upon receiving a phone call from Joan the first day I was released, they pretty much told me I would be skipping my first dose because the office wasn’t open during the hours I had received my previous dosage. Then a voicemail was left the same day asking me to come to their office at Vodden to get the treatment, and not for 8 am in the morning , but for 4 pm. Which would essentially restart my dosage. I called today to ask if I could get in home care, like if someone could come to my house as for one I can’t drive, secondly I have three kids below 6 at home, I can’t just leave them. The lady over the phone referred me to Esther, who had seemed like she had her mind made up before I even asked. She said I was ineligible to receive home care, I’d have to come in person to the clinic and get assessed. I told her I was unable to travel, I’ve been having a very high fever, which makes me wobbly when I stand and she didn’t care. Esther said, you’re telling me you can’t take Uber, public transit, get a ride from a friend or anything else? Why would I spend extra time and money to receive the healthcare that I’ve paid this country for the past 20 years? It’s ridiculous that I have to go out of my way, while I’m sick and my infection is spreading up my arm, fever is getting worst and she as a medical professional didn’t understand what people experience when they are feverish or going through medical problems. I asked her if they just want me to go back to the hospital and figure it out from there. She said that’s up to you, then I asked you guys just want people to die? You guys made me miss almost two doses of my medication and are now not willing to accommodate? She said I don’t pass the requirements and kept referring to her notes like she had physically met me and saw the condition I’m in. Anyways, our system is flawed and these people don’t care for your wellbeing, they like to sit behind a phone and do the least amount of work to just get their pay check to go home. Your lives don’t matter, if they did, they would do what they could to help. There was a few more things that were discussed but I’m not feeling well and wanted to write as much before I go back to sleep. Thanks for nothing
