Following surgery to reconstruct my 84-year-old left foot, a 72 day stay in hospital left me too weak, and too immobilized to perform the activities of daily living such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation. My first help was government funded Personal Support Worker services, but it involved a different PSW every day, and each PSW was in a hurry to service a long list of clients. So, I found the arrangement to be less than satisfactory and approached Homecare Solutions Niagara. As a result, I received daily service from one PSW who was on time, very professional and very willing to help with any of the personal tasks and household chores with which I was struggling. I would highly recommend the services of Homecare Solutions Niagara.

When our family was confronted, unexpectedly, with the need to provide homecare for an ageing parent after hospitalization, Homecare Solutions Niagara (HSN) was there for us. Kristin set up a personalized programme of care in a matter of hours, for current and future needs. She joined us to settle our parent back home after release from hospital. We felt instant peace of mind and much appreciation after a stressful phase. Kristin’s kindness, professionalism and dedication to care has impacted our parent’s well-being considerably, as she pays attention to detail and communicates effectively to relay any relevant concerns. Actually, the name ‘Homecare Solutions Niagara’ is well chosen: great care at home; personalized solutions; a proud local business deserving of our support. The dedication and hard work of HSN makes a real difference.

Kristen Rose has been a gift to our family. She has been a vital part of my 89 year old father's life for almost 2 years. Kristen helps him to continue his independent living by supporting his personal care, meal assists, taking him to appointments etc. Following a surgery, Kristen immediately jumped in to provide multiple daily visits in the immediate post-surgery period to ensure Dad made it back to his pre-surgery capabilities. (CCAC wasn't willing to provide home care assistance until 2 weeks after his surgery!). Not only does Kristen provide all this skilled support but she does it with kindness and patience. She engages with Dad, moves at his speed and knows how to work with, not against, his anxieties, confusion, and stubborness. Kristen is always quietly assessing his cognitive processes and lets me know when she notices anything outside of his normal that may be of concern. They say it takes a village to raise a child; well, it also takes a village to care for our vulnerable seniors and Kristen in an invaluable member of my Dad's community and helps me shoulder the weight of care (with love) for my Dad. All seniors should so fortunate as to have a Kristen Rose.
