How placement works
Applying for long-term care
This is a long-term care home, so you can't book a room directly. Placement is arranged through your regional health authority, which confirms eligibility and manages the waiting list for the homes you choose.
- 1A care coordinator confirms that long-term care is the right level of care and that you're eligible.
- 2You pick the homes you'd like, and your name is added to each home's waiting list.
- 3When a bed opens and you're next in line, the home offers it to you.

My Mother Stays in this care home, it's better then some long term care homes but still has its issues of not being properly staffed most of the time and inappropriate food choices for people's individual needs for there health, such as diabetes or other issues. Further more they allow individuals with mental health issues to roam freely without being properly watched to be a harm to themselves or others . Management consulting about relevant issues go unaddressed and is concerning to family members. But there are some amazing workers there also and I have seen worse care homes in my past so thank you to the ones who care and take there jobs seriously.
