Sheppard and James is an amazing private residence and it definitely merits way beyond the 5 star rating! I highly recommend this wonderful residence for your loved one. Sincere, kind and compassionate, owners Karen and Shahied and all staff members make Sheppard and James the perfect safe and secure 'home away from home' for my Dad. Professional care and kind support is provided all the time, 24/7. The exceptional staff is always patient, attentive and supportive of my Dad's needs, and my requests. I know for certain my Dad is very well taken care of here! Friendly greetings every time we visit. Wonderful positive ambiance! The clean, well kept, cozy rooms, along with well lit, bright common areas, support a warm, positive ambiance providing a calming and comfortable environment for my dad and the residents to enjoy. My Dad loves his new home! My family, my Mom, sister and I love his new home! Thank you Karen and Shahied and all the staff for making Sheppard and James , my Dad's new wonderful home, the best choice my sister and I ever made!!

As a former recreation director for an upscale senior living home in Nova Scotia, who currently sings at retirement residences in Montreal for a living, I have seen it all. I can, without reservation, say that I would not hesitate to place any loved one into the care of Sheppard and James - in fact, when the time comes, I could easily see myself living there! Sheppard and James excels, most importantly, in the respect and care of the residents, which is paramount, in my mind. Further, residents are always clean, well-groomed, and nicely dressed. The staff is consistently warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is light and cheerful. Housecleaning is immaculate, the furnishings are comfortable yet stylish and inviting, the rooms are bright, and the food looks fabulous! I couldn't recommend them more: they are polite, professional, and kind. Bravo, Sheppard and James!

My wife’s uncle is at Sheppard and James and he is so happy there! Everyone takes such good care of him. They are always very friendly and helpful. The place is always very clean, and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The staff are lovely. The owners, Karen and Shaheid, go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, answering questions immediately, and doing whatever they can to bond with our uncle. A few years ago my wife’s grandmother was a resident as well, and we didn’t hesitate when it came time to find a place for the uncle! We knew what a wonderful place it was!
