Putting a parent in a LTC is difficult and emotionally draining. However, we are so pleased with our mothers transition and care here. The staff are absolutely incredible and very attentive and kind. We are so thankful for this wonderful small quiant country setting for our mom. From the bottom of our hearts thank you🤗🥰

Very disturbed about my visit with my Mom for the first time since last year due to personal reasons and not because I didn't want to be there!. She was barely coherent and kept falling asleep..as well as getting upset several times when certain things were said . I felt so helpless and it weighs heavy on my heart as I head to bed. I doubt I will get much sleep tonight as my dear mom is constantly on my mind. I will go to see her again on Mother's Day weekend and hope that she will be more herself and not like a zombie because it's definitely not her; but her medication she has been "doped" right up on lately. I was informed after I was told that she wasn't being overmedicated, by one person and something along the lines of that it has been reduced by another staff member!! ...Hmmm, well, I guess I will see what shape she is in the next time I attempt to visit her. I hope she will be smiling and happy to see her daughter again. If she is no better, then I will have to investigate it further and see what I can do to help her. Unfortunately, I can't sweep her out of their and take her home with me. I wish I could. I don't believe in nursing homes if you have family and are financially able to go a different route, I'll be adding more to this after May 10th. Also I bought her a beautiful gift last year and it has grown legs and walked. I don't want to place blame on anyone but I highly doubt it would be another resident!! Just saying...edit to come
