  Over the past five years, I have had the pleasure of being both a friend and colleague of Susan Hagar. Susan has been both a role model and an inspiration for me in my personal and professional life. Her passion for life, social justice, and dedication to improving health care are evident in everything that she does.

  We have engaged Nurse on Board twice recently, in very different circumstances - each time with outstanding service and results. In the first case, we needed support/back-up for medical care my elderly father was receiving in the community that was leading to repeated hospitalizations. Our nurse from Nurse on Board provided the specific care in a timely, compassionate and proficient manner. Most significantly she looked at the situation holistically, made practical suggestions and helped me to advocate with specialists for changes that have made an enormous difference in my father's (and, by extension, my) quality of life. Thanks to her guidance there have been no returns to hospital and much improved overall care for this specific need. In the second case, we were struggling with a question regarding care needs of another family member on a short timeline. Nurse on Board responded immediately and provided clear, actionable and reassuring guidance. I am very grateful to have connected with Nurse on Board. With the strains that our health care system is enduring, and when accessing the right care can be a challenge, Nurse on Board is an invaluable option for skilled, compassionate care and guidance.

  After retirement I became a very active POA as a loved one’s health deteriorated. I found managing health care was overwhelming & stressful. I felt like I was taking on a whole new career. Nurse on Board was like working with a health care management team that has vetted doctors and has their own experts. Their guidance & services were top notch. They even attended a meeting where critical health decisions had to made. It was comforting to have this team on our side during this stressful time. Personal service. They felt like family.
