Just a bunch of animals working in their office. No empathy, compassion or a touch of humanity.

They have a good rotation of empathetic people providing care, even if it is late in the evening or night, and for that I am beyond thankful. The care teams, whether a nurse or assistant, are so patient and calming to the elderly in my life - many of whom have sensitivities and behavioural stressors. I was extremely impressed by Neeta (or Anita, I forget her proper name Im sorry) as she was always kind and never rushed or harsh. I also hope to thank the supervising team (one male I believe but I did not catch his name) for being easy to connect to whenever there were big changes last minute. 5/5

My child, who has a congenital disability, has been receiving services for four years. While we've had some good experiences, we ride the waves and things even out. However recent changes in home care services have felt neglectful and even harmful to the people they are meant to help. There have been issues like poor communication, hard-to-access services, actions that don't focus on the patient's best interests, discrimination, and a lack of respect for the patient’s needs and opinions. Additionally, the professionalism in customer service has been lacking, with zero accountability or responsibility and it's only adding stress to an already challenging situation, and we are often just expected to cope with it. I strongly suggest that anyone providing home and community care becomes familiar with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, if they are wanting to actually care for them. If we are unable to provide basic care needs to our most vulnerable in our community..... it will take a lot more work to address the root of the problem, than just doing name changes for the lead organizations: CCAC/LHIN/HCCSS, now OHH. People making money off the backs of those needing support, is just wrong and deeply concerning.
