We recently arranged for my father-in-law to move to Parkwood. The staff, especially Lynn, went out of their way to make this move as easy as possible. From the process of selecting a unit to providing resources to help with the move, to getting him settled and comfortable, they were there to support us throughout. We were told by multiple current residents that both the food and the staff were excellent, and we have found this to definitely be true; we had several meals with him as he became accustomed to the idea of moving. Thanks to all the staff at Parkwood who made a challenging time much easier.

Parkwood Place is an amazing community full of warm and welcoming residents and staff, who go out of their way to make sure all the residents and families feel fulfilled and happy. The bright open common spaces, with lots of natural light, make it feel very homey and inviting!

BIG, BIG THANK YOU...to all the folks @ Parkwood Place for the warm, down-to-earth welcome earlier this week to someone like myself looking on someone else's behalf, at independent-living options in the greater Victoria area...this began with a great outreach experience from 'Anne' at the front desk (who also helped co-navigate yours truly thru the current Shelbourne construction, another story, &...) initially answering my call to request an impromptu appt. 'Margie' took over for the next patient hour-plus conversation/fact-finding process and was totally on-board/compassionate with the profile I tried to represent: a much more firmer perspective of this important life-option could not have been delivered any better than by Margie! She was both sincere & frank in helping to provide some post-COVID context in how the Parkwood dealt with that challenging time. As an unexpected bonus (2 actually...!), a resident took it upon herself to share an impromptu testimonial of her own Parkwood experience, and in the dialect-language of my forefathers to boot...that resident is a treasure, like the Parkwood ! To Margie, many many thanks for a great customer-experience, & for thinking about my next tea/coffee break too! HONORABLE MENTION...has to go to Margie's colleague 'Lynn', who went well above the call of duty to follow-up/outreach to myself during her own down-time. The pleasure was all mine, and I pity those who may find themselves in a similar life-circumstance such as mine, to not give the great folks at the Parkwood Place a chance to share their services, their professionalism, their sincerity & their contribution to the greater Victoria community at large. Bravo--& please keep up the great job!
