I can't say enough about the Berkeley. Mom has been there for three years now. There are always fun events going on. Staff will notice if Mom is not attending and will give her a reminder call! The staff are warm and welcoming.The meals are great. There is always a choice at mealtime, and the food quality is high. I called Mom a few times this morning with no answer. I was concerned and called the front desk. They informed me she was out to breakfast with some friends. It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks, Berkeley! You bring peace of mind.

My grandfather lived here for 3 years. He died at the age of 93 on Jan 20, 2023, 3 days after being admitted to hospital. The Berkeley kept the following months' room and board citing the lease that required a months' notice on vacancy. Mind-boggling term of lease considering the age and health of residents. How would one reasonably give them a months' notice before death? Before a fall that would lead to a nursing home? No waiver of notice period offered after repeated requests. Paying for unused meals and a vacant room.

My mum has been living at the Berkeley in Bedford for 3 years now. While it was very difficult for her to leave her sweet home, the move has been perfect in every way. I can't say how happy I am that we chose the Berkeley. My mother loves the staff, who are amazing, friendly, and supportive. She's very comfortable in her lovely room. The meals are good, and the building is very clean and well maintained. Most importantly, the pandemic has clearly brought to the fore the quality of the Berkeley management. The Campbells have made all the right decisions at every turn, keeping my mother and all the residents safe. I have only good to say about the Berkeley, and will probably live there myself in a couple of decades!
